The Next MLRA Meeting : AGM
The Annual General Meeting will be held at  Brookside Jr. High. 1799 Prospect Bay Rd.  on Tuesday April 12th at 7pm
Note: All future meetings occur on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Membership fee $5/yr per person

McDonald Lake Subdivision Community Clean-up

Saturday, April 30th, 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, check in at the mailboxes first:

This year we are working at 2 sites:
Spring garbage clean- up - McDonald Lake Subdivision Mailboxes (Next to PRES) - Street assignments and garbage bags available at mailbox
Or
Parkland Wood Clearing - Prospect River Court, Parkland Site - The MLRA Parkland Sub-Committee is inviting some residents to assist us in cleaning up the parkland site. We will be clearing small fallen trees and some brush.   We could use some adults to help at the parkland site.  

Please dress appropriately for both work sites, wear good footwear for rough uneven ground, and bring hand cutters (no chainsaws please) for working in the park.


Plant  & Yard Sale

Saturday May 14th, 2011 at the Prospect Road Elementary School
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Rain Date: Sunday May 15th, 2011 - 1 to 4 PM

Note: If you would like to set up your own table (Flea Market Style) to sell your goods we ask for a $10 donation. Please contact Gail Keeping 850-2293 or gailleanne@hotmail.com - bring your own table.

Donations: If you would like to make a donation of plants or goods please contact Gail Keeping 850-2293 or drop  them off at  15 Fiddle Parkway.

Fundraising: All proceeds will be designated towards the Parkland Development.


Other Activities and Events:

COCO Meeting: The May meeting  of the Council of Community Organizations will be held at 7p.m.on Wednesday Thursday, May 25 at a location to be determined.
Updates will include on such things as Prospect Road issues, water quality monitoring on the Prospect River system, geocaching opportunities on the Old St. Margaret's Bay Road and environs, visioning  process for Tantallon area,  island issues in St. Margaret's Bay just to name a few. Copies of "The Walking Guide to the Old St. Margaret's Bay Road" are available at the Prospect Road Community Centre.  

Note: All residents are welcome to attend.

Ongoing - McDonald Lake Parkland Development
- Bridge & boardwalk construction is finished
- Additional drainage work completed & working good so far
- Second walk path partially completed
- Fund raising efforts are underway
- Specs being developed for a Look Off Deck adjacent to boat launch area
- Park Artwork piece options being developed
